Urgent cases are seen on the day.
If your condition is non-urgent you can expect to see a GP within two working days, although you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP. If you don't need an appointment within two working days you also have the option to book up to 5 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.
Repeat prescriptions: are done
daily except Saturdays using repeat cards. Please allow 48 hours
notice.
House calls: Home visits are made for people
who cannot come to the surgery, either due to their illness
or infirmity. If possible they should be requested by 10.00am.
Cervical smears: when making an
appointment please say it is for a smear, so slides etc can
be prepared.
Medicals: are done outside normal
surgery times by appointment. Fees are as recommended by the
BMA and are displayed in the surgery
Out of Hours: The Emergency Doctor Service is situated
at Nobles Hospital.
If you need a doctor out of hours please call the surgery as normal and you will be given instructions on how to contact the out of hours service.
Complaints: From time to time
wires get crossed! We are not deliberately trying to upset you!
Please air your complaint to the Practice Manager about an administrative
problem either verbally or in writing. Any complaints about
Medical management should be taken up with the appropriate Doctor
or nurse. Hopefully the majority of complaints can be settled
quickly and satisfactorily.
