Castletown's historic past is all around which ever way you turn - centred on the Castle and in every street and building in the Castle's shadow. Manx National Heritage are the custodians of Castle Rushen, the Nautical Museum and the Old Grammar School (and are currently restoring the original House of Keys in Parliament Square). Castletown Heritage - are an organisation centred on the Town, which encourages and supports the preservation, restoration and development of the Heritage of Castletown. It is well worth taking a walk around the town, to enjoy the atmosphere of the historic harbour, or admire some of the fine old houses throughout the town centre. Walking TourWe have a guided tour of the Town, prepared by Castletown Heritage, which will introduce you to some of the Town's interesting sights. There is also a Photographic tour, to show you some of the delightful sights around the Town. |
