40th World Tin Bath Championships

Each year the World Tin Bath Championship takes place in the Middle Harbour, Castletown. The event has been run for many years and all the money raised from this event goes to local charities. In 2004 the money raised benefited Air Ambulance,and a number of other local charities. In 2003 all monies went to the Mighty Oak Appeal for a new Hospice. This year the event raised £6,500.

This event, run by the Castletown Ale Drinkers Society, features the World Famous Tin Bath Championship, for men and women, which attracts over 100 entrants each year.

Besides local competitors, entrants have travelled from as far as New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, U.S.A., plus many continental countries.
