Castletown
Football Club is located on Malew Road about 250 yards beyond the
Railway Bridge junction. The club was officially registered with
the Isle of Man Football Association in 1904 and is steeped in History
and Tradition.
One of the most successful Footballing sides on the Island `Town
play in the First Division. The record attendance for the current
ground is well over 2500 for the inaugural game played against Liverpool
Collegiate in 1950.
Alongside the Senior team, a Combination (reserve team), 14/16
year old Youth team and other Junior sides together with a newly
formed but very talented Ladies team also participate in regular
league competition.
If you are new to the Island and looking for regular competitive
sport, training schedules for the coming league season will be published
on our website in the near future. Children from the age of 5 years
are catered for in the clubs regular training sessions and everyone
is welcome. There is plentiful parking located both inside and adjacent
to the ground, and a canteen is available for light refreshments
on match days.
A comfortable club bar is located inside the main stand offering
a selection of local and imported beers, together with pool, darts
and TV facilities. The social amenities are also available for hire
if you are considering a birthday/christening party etc.
